Part 4 - TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment). The setting up of the MAT will involve the transfer of staff from their current employer (the governors) to a new employer (the Trustees of the NCLT). TUPE protects staff employment terms and conditions. The TUPE consultation period runs from 18th June through to 13th July. Staff TUPE meetings were held at Sir Jim's and Camelford Primary on Wednesday 27th June. A brief presentation was given by Jon Lawrence, CEO, and can be found here. Lawyers from Michelmores were available to address questions both during the meeting and after.
